The First International Symposium on Neuroblastomas was held in October 2017 by the ITACI Institute, with the support of the Child and Solidarity Action Foundation. The event was attended by renowned professionals who shared their studies and perceptions on the subject.

In addition to important advances in research and treatment in neuroblastoma, important dates were also celebrated, such as the 30th anniversary of the first autologous bone marrow transplant in children with a solid tumor in Brazil, the 40th anniversary of the Oncology Unit of the Instituto da Criança and the 15 years of the ITACI Institute.
